To help organizations celebrate special events held in St. Mary’s County. These typically include business and professional conferences, cultural festivals, non-profit fundraising benefits, and other significant events. Letters of Recognition may also accompany Commendations.
To recognize employees of St. Mary’s County Government and related agencies upon retirement. An award may be presented to an employee with 10 or more years of service. Retiree may choose to be recognized during available commissioner meetings or have award presented by appropriate Department Director.
