Purple Heart Parking (PHP)

PHP is a new initiative that was approved by the Commissioners of St. Mary's County on July 29, 2014. The program acknowledges and supports combat wounded veterans. In order to implement this effort we will be designating at least one (1) existing parking space (immediately adjacent to existing handicapped parking) as "Purple Heart Parking" to honor Purple Heart awardees. Placing the signage in these locations will provide several designated spaces on County building campuses, museums, park-n-rides, and recreational facilities in close proximity to the main entrances and nearby access to ramps. All signs are provided by the Purple Heart Parking organization at no cost, except for shipping. Simply fill out the attached order form and send it to Wounded Warriors Family Support.
